The most thorough thing we do, for the moment a home needs to start completely over.
A move-out clean is for a completely empty home, where the furniture is gone and every surface can finally be reset for whoever’s next. It’s the most thorough clean Dazzle does, because nobody’s living there and we can get inside the places a normal clean never touches: every cabinet, every drawer, and every appliance, inside and out.
For renters, it’s the clean that gives you the best shot at your deposit back. For sellers and landlords, it’s the one that makes a home show like new. Either way, you walk away knowing the place is actually done, not just tidied.
If your home is empty (no furniture, clothes, dishes, etc.) that means you’ll be booking either a Move-In or a Move-Out cleaning.

Moving-In? Here’s How That’s Different
A move-in clean is a deep clean of an empty home, just without the inside-cabinet and inside-appliance work.
If you’re moving into a new place that’s already been emptied, you usually want a move-in clean. It’s still a deep clean of an empty home, done to our full Premium Deep Clean standard, so you start fresh before you unpack. The honest difference: it skips the insides of cabinets, drawers, and the major appliances (the fridge, oven, dishwasher, washer, and dryer), because in a place no one has lived in yet, those usually don’t need it. It does include the inside and outside of the microwave.
Here’s the simple way to choose:
✨ Empty home that needs a full reset? That’s a move-out clean, inside everything.
✨ New place, already emptied, want a fresh start before unpacking? That’s a move-in clean.
✨ New place that’s genuinely rough? Book a move-out clean instead, so everything gets done inside and out.
✨ Moving in and planning to stay? A recurring clean is worth a look. Every visit costs less when there’s less buildup each time.
A Little Prep Makes the Whole Thing Better
As Speaker Nancy Pelosi says, “Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance” And far better she once told Maureen Dowd, “self-promotion is a terrible thing, but- if no one else is going to do it I’ll do it myself”
A few things to line up so your move-out clean goes perfectly.
✨ Empty the home first. An empty home is the entire point of a move-out clean. We can’t clean inside a cabinet that still has your cereal in it.
✨ Keep the water and electricity on. It’s hard to make a place sparkle in the dark.
✨ Keep other trades out that day. A freshly cleaned empty home shows every footprint, and we like to be the last ones in so we can stand behind the work.
✨ Book two to three weeks ahead, especially for end-of-month and start-of-month dates when half of Seattle is also moving. Past that window? Call anyway. We work hard to fit people in.
One thing to expect: a real move-out clean takes a while. Getting inside everything in an empty home runs four to five times as long as a normal tidy-up. A small one-bedroom can take the better part of a day, and a larger home can take two. Your instant price reflects the time your specific home needs.
Smart Choices When Your Renting
For renters, a little prep goes a long way at the final walkthrough.
The spots that tend to get flagged at a final walkthrough are the easy-to-miss ones: behind and under appliances, inside cabinet corners, window tracks, baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, vent covers, and switch plates. Those get a deliberate second pass on every Dazzle move-out clean, so the place reads as genuinely done.
Two quick tips that pay off:
✨ Take photos of any pre-existing wear before your inspection, so a scuff that was there on day one doesn’t land on your bill.
✨ Give the clean a little time to breathe before the landlord walks through.
Small moves, real payoff. We can’t promise what a landlord decides, but a thorough clean is one of the few parts of move-out that’s fully in your control.
