At Dazzle we have been using organic cleaning products for years. In this article, we’ll give you some of our recipes and tips.

It’s important to keep harmful chemicals out of your home. Why not make organic cleaning products instead of all those icky, toxic products? These recipes only take minutes and will have you living green in no time! Did you realize that some of the best household cleaners come from ingredients found in your pantry? With just a little creativity and diligence you can whip up these homemade organic cleaning products yourself, it only takes minutes!

All-Purpose Cleaner

Your home is a very diverse place with many different surfaces. Keeping everything clean from wood to carpet can be a daunting task. That’s why you’ll always want a solid all-purpose cleaner on hand and we have the perfect recipe for you. You’ll want to start with a quality spray bottle and put in 1 1/3rd cup rubbing alcohol, 2 1/3rds tap water, and then just a couple drops of blue dish soap. If you want to get a little bit more of a personal scent on what your version of clean smells like you can add essential oils.

Easy ‘Recipe’ for Those Baseboards

It can be difficult to keep track of all the little nooks and crannies that need a regular shine. That being said, baseboards are overlooked quite often and can be quite the hassle to clean. With something as simple as a household dryer sheet you’ll have dust-free baseboards in no time. Just run it along the problem area and watch the dust cling to the sheet. It’s not only a simple solution but also very cost-effective as well.

Keep Your Shower Doors Sparkling With This Organic Cleaner

One of the toughest things to keep clean is our shower doors. If not done properly they can get streaky and build up with soap scum. That’s why it’s important to have a concoction that will ensure the job is done right the first time.

Our solution is a simple one, in a quality spray bottle you can mix half white vinegar with half blue dish soap and achieve stunning results. Just spray on your shower door making sure not to get any on the marble or stone in the shower (the vinegar could cause damage). After 30 minutes take the rough side of a sponge and wipe it down thoroughly. You should now have a satisfying shine to your shower door.

Stainless Steel and the Constant Battle of Fingerprints

This one is a surprising recipe. It’s only one ingredient!

If you want to keep those stainless steel appliances looking brand new and fingerprint-free we have a very simple recipe for you. Taking a regular cloth put a liberal amount of baby oil and wipe either vertically or horizontally with the grain of the stainless steel. After this is complete, wipe off all the oil with a different dry cloth. This should make any of your stainless steel appliances look like they are fresh off the factory floor.
