Hey there, mess-makers! Looking to set up recurring cleaning services? Whether you need weekly, biweekly, or monthly cleaning services, you’ve landed in the right spot! In this blog, I’m breaking down your options. Should you choose the Premium Maintenance Clean or the Express Maintenance Clean? Let’s get into it.
🎭 The Tale of Two Cleans
When I started Dazzle we just had one cleaning option: The Premium Maintenance Clean. And while this is by far our most popular service, what I learned is that some people just don’t want or need or have the budget for that detailed cleaning- so that’s when I brilliantly came up with the idea of the Express Clean. I’m kidding, it wasn’t at all brilliant, it was obvious, and I’m not totally sure why more cleaning companies don’t do it. 🤔
👑 Premium Recurring Cleaning Services: The Royal Treatment
This is the crème de la crème of cleaning services, folks! It’s what most people dream of when they imagine a spotless home, whether it’s a weekly cleaning service or a monthly cleaning service. Here’s what you get:

🤔 So, Which One’s Right for You?
When choosing between our recurring cleaning services, most of our clients select the Premium Maintenance Clean. It’s our flagship service and it is a super treat to come home to every week, every two weeks or even once a month.
But, if a Premium Maintenance just isn’t in your budget, or if you like to listen to NPR and drink coffee or white wine while cleaning, like I do- then our Express Maintenance Clean is perfect for you. The Dazzle Podcast is brought to you by the Dazzle Cleaning Company, the gayest cleaning company in America, specializing in premium recurring cleaning services. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be part of the LGBTQIA community to hire or to work at Dazzle. I’m Logan, the founder of the Dazzle Cleaning Company. Welcome to the Dazzle Podcast. Each podcast will either be labeled as a client podcast or as an employee podcast.
And the only point of the podcast is to get you information in the way you want it. Okay, let’s get into it.
Today’s topic: what to choose – the premium maintenance clean or the express maintenance clean for your recurring cleaning services. So when you’re setting up regular recurring cleaning services, we recommend that most people start with the deep cleaning and episode one of this podcast is all about what is included in a deep cleaning and what isn’t and answers questions about it and answers when it’s a good time to upgrade to a deep clean and when it’s cool to just skip it.
So if you have more questions about that, check out episode one, do I need to upgrade to a deep clean? Or you can of course give us a call or send us an email and we will help you answer that question. So let’s say you decided to get the initial deep cleaning or you’re not, and now you’re ready to set up your recurring cleaning services with us.
And for that, we have two recurring cleaning service options to choose from. We have our Premium Maintenance Clean, which is by far our most popular recurring cleaning service. This is what people are usually imagining when they think of having their home cleaned on a regular cleaning schedule. But we also have our Express Cleaning, and our Express Cleaning is a service that we designed for people who don’t mind cleaning their but there are certain things that they just don’t like to do or have the time to keep up on like scrubbing the showers and the floors.
Uh, but also designed with people in mind who want to have a professional cleaning service, but a premium cleaning is outside of their budget. So we, uh, decided to create the ExpressClean. But we’re going to start with talking about what is included in the premium maintenance clean. So During the service, we’re going to clean your tubs, toilets, sinks, showers, counters, mirrors, floors, faucets, vacuum, mop.
We’re going to clean the fronts of your cabinets and drawers in your kitchen and bathroom. Uh, clean the fronts of your appliances. So your stove, oven, dishwasher, washer, and dryer, fridge, inside and outside of the microwave. We’re going to high and low dust, clean your window seals, baseboards, doors, door frames, railings, electrical outlets, light switches, outlet covers, vacuum or fur brush the couch, remove trash, recycling, compost, make the beds, and change the sheets on your beds.
A premium maintenance clean has you covered. It’s the, a sheet change included for one bed, but you can add more beds to it if you want. And so you might think, well, a lot of that is the same stuff that we’re cleaning on our deep clean. Yes, a lot of it is not all of it, but a lot of it is. But once we complete your deep cleaning, we’re able to keep up on it much easier and much faster to just do it every week.
So that’s why. It’s um, more time intensive and more expensive for the deep clean versus the regular maintenance cleans. So our premium clean is what most people opt for. This is really when you want to hand your cleaning off to someone else so you can focus more of your time on whatever it is that’s most important to you.
All right, so now we’re going to do this week’s snappy news, and then we’ll talk about what isn’t included in a premium maintenance clean and what is and isn’t included in our express maintenance clean.
[Snappy News section remains exactly the same]
So what is not included in a premium maintenance clean? So a premium maintenance clean doesn’t include cleaning light fixtures, ceiling fans, vacuuming under the beds or under couch cushions. It doesn’t include cleaning the inside of the fridge, inside the oven or the dishwasher, the washer or dryer, and it doesn’t include dry dusting the blinds, but you can add these options onto your service if you’d like.
Okay, so if you’re excited about the prospect of having your home professionally cleaned and all the extra time and freedom that that will allow you, but you’re worried about the price of house cleaning in Seattle, or you just want a more limited service because maybe you’d like to clean some things, then we have our Express Maintenance Clean specifically for you.
So the Express Clean is our bare bones, bare bones clean. This is just for the absolute basics. Tubs, toilets, sinks, showers, counters, mirrors, stove top, inside and outside the microwave, mirrors, floors, and taking out the trash, recycling, and the compost. So it’s the basic service. This service doesn’t include bed making, washing dishes, cleaning the fronts of appliances, drawers, etc.
It doesn’t include any dusting. It doesn’t include, um, outlets, light switches, railings, baseboards, doors, door frames, window seals, vents, under couch cushions. Um, so it’s, it really is a basic service, but a lot of people really love this service because it does include most of the things that people hate doing the most, um, like scrubbing the.
Tubs and glass showers and cleaning the floors. and so you get all of that, and it is absolutely the most affordable cleaning service that you’ll find in Seattle because we’re limiting, you know, the scope of what we’re doing, not the quality or the reliability of having a professional cleaning service.
So, can you get both services? Uh, yes, you can have a premium maintenance cleaning every two weeks, and an express maintenance cleaning every two weeks. So, they’re alternating, so that you are having your home cleaned at some degree every two weeks. So basically, you’re setting up a premium maintenance clean once a month, and then you’re setting up an express cleaning once a month.
And what this allows is for us to come in and just give you a real basic cleaning and express cleaning every, you know, uh, between your regular maintenance cleans. Or you can do it the same thing if you want to set up, um, a premium maintenance clean every two weeks and an express maintenance clean every two weeks on rotating clean, on rotating, uh, schedules.
And so basically this is a way to keep your home cleaner and save you money. And uh, it’s a thing that we do for clients all the time. So. That’s our premium maintenance clean versus our express clean. I hope I answered any of your questions, but if it doesn’t, please feel free to reach out to us. We would absolutely love to talk to you and we would love to answer all your questions and keep your home sparkling clean.
And now we’re going to end the show with our new segment. Dirty talk
This is Dirty Talk, where we answer all of your filthiest cleaning questions. Whether you’re lusting over the fantasy of sparkling clean floors or have been toying with the deep seated curiosity of where to find the longest, most satisfying extension duster, you’ve stumbled to the right spot. Welcome to Dirty Talk, where we answer all of your cleaning questions.
So today’s question. What is the best way to remove stubborn grime and water spots from my glass shower doors to restore their shine? Okay, it’s a great question. It’s a common question. Um, I think that cleaning glass shower doors is the bane of a lot of people’s existence. Uh, So here’s how you’re going to do it.
Take a spray bottle. Let’s say a 16 ounce spray bottle. Fill it a third of the way up with blue Dawn dish soap, and then fill it the rest of the way up with white vinegar. Then spray the glass showers really liberally, the glass shower doors with this mixture. Let them sit for about 10 minutes. Now spray it again with that same mixture.
And we’re going to let it sit for another 10 minutes. You don’t want for this mixture to dry on your glass shower doors. So that’s why we’re spraying it again. And if you run out of spray, um, in between when you’re doing your like second round of sprayer, before you do that, just put some water in it and spray over it again so that you moisten it a little bit, because what we’re trying to do is give the vinegar And because the vendor’s, you know, it’s high, highly, um, base and so it’s going to eat through a lot of that, uh, grime that’s on your glass shower doors.
And so, uh, just put some water if you run out of your food. If you run out of your mixture, put some water in your spray bottle, mix it around, just spray it down with water. That’s fine. Let it sit another 10 minutes. All right, then you’re going to take a tile brush, which is just like, you know, a stiff scrubby brush, plastic scrubbies, not like, uh, not, you know, steel wool or something like that.
And then scrub the glass shower doors. The glass shower doors are going to be dirtiest at the bottom. And then as you move up, they’re going to get, they’ll, they’ll be, you know, less difficult to clean. Start at the bottom and work your way up. And this is opposite of how we typically clean, but in this case, it’s good.
Cause you’re going to get tired. Don’t push so forcefully down on your tile brush that you’re like, getting it all over the place. bending the bristles out because that’s not what’s cleaning your glass shower door. You want to have the end of your bristles that are being agitated on the grime on your glass shower door.
All right, so you do that and then You will rinse the glass shower doors and they’re going to be nice and sparkling clean for you. So you can either, um, dry them with a towel or a squeegee or both. Um, or if you don’t want to do that, you can let them air dry. They’re going to look great. It’s fine. You can just let them air dry.
It’s not going to be a problem. Okay. So. When I first started Dazzle, I hired a person and this is what we used. And, uh, she. sprayed it all down on the outside of the glass shower doors. Now, this is a problem because you have to be able to rinse the soap and vinegar away. So only do this on the inside where it’s easy to rinse because otherwise you’re going to have a whole big mess for yourself.
Um, also note that. You don’t want to be putting this mixture on stone like granite or marble or anything. It will over time dull the finish on, on those. So only put it on your glass. And if you’re super, you know, particular than don’t, um, use it in your shower at all. And that’s actually why we don’t use this at dazzle anymore, even though it is.
Is the best, easiest way. We just have too many clients who have, um, you know, stone in their showers. So we forego the convenience and we just give a little bit more, um, what is it called? Elbow grease when we’re cleaning. Now, I’m also going to give you a super, um, effective trick that we would never, ever, ever use at Dazzle, but that, uh, in a previous cleaning life at a different cleaning company when I was a kid, I worked for a cleaning company and, uh, What we would do at super filthy nasty jobs was, uh, if you have like a fiberglass tub, which is like a basic tub, right?
And it’s really bad, uh, spray it down with Easy Off. Let it sit for 10 minutes, scrub, rance. It is so easy. It’ll be so clean. Uh, but this is a real drastic measure. And again, we would never do that at Dazzle because, uh, it’s, doesn’t line up with anything. It doesn’t line up with any thing that we do at Dazzle.
Um, but it does work if you are, let’s say you just moved into a new place. You just bought a house that’s like trashed or, you know, whatever. You’re helping someone that’s so like kind of a hoarder style home. Um, That is something that will work well for you. All right. So that was this week’s Dazzle podcast.
Thank you so much.
